STATE Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Satyanarayan Jatia cancelled his visit to Delhi tonight thus triggering speculation in the party circles that he might announce his team tomorrow.

Party sources said Jatia was to leave for Delhi tonight by Bhopal Express to attend the BJP’s Election Commission meeting but he cancelled his programme at the eleventh hour.
Jatia will visit Ganjbasoda tomorrow along with Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to attend a programme. Sources said the Central BJP had okayed the list of executive body members and Jatia was waiting for Kaptan Singh Solanki to return from Gwalior before announcing the team.
They said the new faces in the executive body this time might include Kailash Chawla as the vice-president who was Minister for Commerce and Industries in the Babulal Gaur Cabinet, Umashankar Gupta as the general secretary who was Minister of State for Transport in Gaur Cabinet and very close to Gaur, Faggan Singh Kulaste, Member of Parliament whose name figured in MPLAD sting operation, as the general secretary and Sartaj Singh as the treasurer in place of Babulal Jain.
The latter was known as Jatia’s bete noire in the party. They said Maya Singh, Ramkrishna Kusmaria and Chandramani Tripathi, all Members of Parliament, might be retained as vice presidents. Kaptan Singh Solanki is likely to continue as organising general secretary, while Nandkumar Singh Chouhan and Anil Dave might be retained as general secretaries.
They said despite opposition there was no threat to the place of Arvind Bhadoria as the secretary. Ranjana Baghel might be retained as secretary.
