In this day and age when fast-food chains are mushrooming as if there’s no tomorrow, this one’s shrinking. A recent casualty, for instance, was the Lajpat Nagar outlet. We suspect Wimpy’s gradual disappearing act has something to do with the uneven quality of its offerings. Foreign tourists who used to be major patrons of the chain (thanks to its English origins), meanwhile, seem to have shifted their loyalties to McDonald’s. For those who like their burgers with a masala twist, the Spicy Grilled Chicken in a Bun and Chana Masala Burger aren’t bad. The quality of the pizzas swings like a yo-yo, but the french fries (provided you can get a lot that’s fresh out of the fryer) won’t disappoint you.
