A community panchayat has asked a Muslim woman to go back to her first husband but she has rejected the diktat and instead lodged a complaint against it with the police.
Mehrana got married with Ansar Tyagi ten years ago but had a divorce and on October 8, 2008, she remarried Shakil, according to the complaint filed in Ambavihar locality in Muzaffarnagar on Wednesday.
