Woman not declared dead for six days in Bhopal hospital

While the woman had died on the same night, the hospital did not allegedly declare her dead and instead kept her on ventilator for six days, claiming that she was alive.

So, Madan Mohan ended up paying Rs 8.5 lakh to the hospital for no rhyme or reason. However, his friend, who is also a doctor and came to visit the hospital, said Sushma had died the same night she was hospitalised. Madan Mohan had also consulted other doctors who gave the same report as was given by his friend.

Interestingly, the LBS doctors finally declared ‘Sushma dead’ on February 8 following the recommendations of other doctors. So, he filed a petition in the district court which asked the administration to file a forgery case against director of LBS hospital Dr Bhupendra Saxena and three others Dr GS Gautam, Dr Rohit Kumar and Dr Anand Yadav and began an investigation into the case.
