Yoga, meditation workshop ends at KV1

A THREE-DAY workshop on ?Yoga and Meditation? concluded at Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1 in the City on Thursday. Renowned experts Mukul Kanitkar and Priyanka Gupta of Vivekananda Ashram, Kanyakumari imparted knowledge to students and teachers about the various methods of meditation and importance of yoga exercises.

A THREE-DAY workshop on ‘Yoga and Meditation’ concluded at Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1 in the City on Thursday. Renowned experts Mukul Kanitkar and Priyanka Gupta of Vivekananda Ashram, Kanyakumari imparted knowledge to students and teachers about the various methods of meditation and importance of yoga exercises.

The aim of the workshop was to counter stress, by instilling confidence and using the power of positive thinking, in students during the examination period. The duo focused on the need to develop positive thinking.

“Fear is the greatest hindrance in the path of success and it is necessary for everyone to expel all sorts of fear and insecurities that might pervade their minds. Yoga and meditation are extremely beneficial to get rid of examination fear,” stated Kanitkar.

He also gave the students tips on how to tackle question papers. Students of Kendriya Vidyalaya benefitted from this workshop and considered the session extremely helpful.
