Yogi slams religious quota

He said such appeasement policies would destroy Indian culture. He said some political parties were trying to consolidate their minority community vote bank. Adityanath was expressing his views at the BJP workers’ conference at the party office.
He expressed the apprehension that the next generation would forget great Hindu personalities and said this was part of a deep-rooted conspiracy by the Congress party.
He accused political parties of shielding separatist forces, which had posed a serious challenge to the cultural identity of the country.
Adityanath called upon party workers to be vigilant to counter the attack of ‘secular’ parties who were trying to change syllabus to suit their vested interests. He advised party workers to launch a movement to save the culture of the nation.
Coming down heavily on administrative officials, he said they had become insensitive and were not concerned about attending complaints of the common man. He claimed that the BJP was committed to its ideology.
Presiding over the conference, divisional president of the party Lallan Prasad Tripathi said cultural nationalism was part and parcel of Hinduism.
He claimed that the BJP had the capability to save Indian culture.
Party leader Shital Pandey, Sameer Kumar Singh and State president of BJP education cell Dr Vibhrat Chand Kaushik claimed that Adityanath was a protector of Hindu interests and took to the streets whenever anyone tried to hurt the Hindu sentiments.
Former mayor Rajendra Sharma, senior party leaders Omprakash Srivastav, Ajay Singh, Niraj Shahi, Balram Sonkar and others also expressed their views and garlanded the statues of Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya and Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.
