Daughter foils man's bid to rape minor

A girl foiled her tantrik father's bid to rape a minor on Monday. The tantrik, identified as Ramesh, who tried to rape the minor in his house, also beat her up when she raised an alarm.

The tantrik, identified as Ramesh, who tried to rape the minor in his house in the village, also beat her up when she raised an alarm.

On hearing the minor's alarm, the tantrik's daughter who was in the other room, rushed to the spot and rescued the girl from his father. Villagers also rushed to the spot and thrashed the tantrik.

In her complaint, the girl alleged that Ramesh asked her to visit his residence for some religious ceremony in which girls are fed. After the ceremony was over, Ramesh asked the victim to stay at his home in the night.

The tantrik then told the girl that he would perform 'tantra puja' to get her wish fulfilled. After all the girls went back to their homes, he made an attempt to outrage her modesty.

Acting on the girl's statement, Dhar police lodged a case against the tantrik and arrested him.
