Minor dies of suspected swine flu in Indore

A 12-year-old girl died of suspected H1N1 influenza in Indore on Saturday, taking the death roll due to swine flu to 57, hospital sources said on Saturday.

A 12-year-old girl died of suspected H1N1 influenza in Indore on Saturday, taking the death roll due to swine flu to 57, hospital sources said on Saturday.

The girl, a resident of Dhar district, was admitted to Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital. She died during treatment, sources added.

Another patient was admitted to the isolation ward of the hospital after he went through screening, sources said.

Head of MGM community health department Dr Sanjay Dixit said 26 patients have been admitted to the isolation ward of the hospital and kept on ventilator.

Swab of six patients was sent to a Jabalpur-based laboratory for examination, Dr Dixit added.
