Minor girl raped in Indore

A seven-year-old girl was raped by her neighbour on the pretext of helping her complete homework yesterday.

The victim's mother lodged a complaint with the Azad Nagar police station late in the evening the same day.

Police nabbed the accused on Thursday morning.

Reportedly, the victim's parents left their daughter and two-year-old son at home and went out for work. They had requested their nieghbour Sanju, a painter by profession, to watch over the kids.

On Wednesday afternoon, Sanju called the victim to his house on the pretext of helping her complete home-work and raped her. The accused also threatened the victim of consequences incase she exposed the horror.

According to sources, the accused was earlier booked in a murder case. An FIR has been filed and the police have intiated an investigation.
