Prime Minister Narendra Modi makes brief halt at Indore airport

Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a brief halt at Indore airport on Tuesday. Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan briefed him about the Global Investors' Summit during the short meeting.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a brief halt at Indore airport on Tuesday morning. He was on his way to Dhule in Maharashtra to address an election rally.

He was received at the airport by chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, mayor KM Moghe, state BJP chief and MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan. Divisional commissioner Sanjay Dubey and collector Akash Tripathi were also present.

PM Modi landed at Indore airport at 10am and after spending 10-15 minutes, left for Dhule by an Air Force helicopter.

Chouhan briefed him about the Global Investors' Summit during the short meeting. Modi is scheduled to arrive in Indore on October 9 around 10am to attend the summit.

Senior police officials said PM boarded a chopper from here as Indore airport is the nearest big airport to go to Dhule which is near MP's south border.

IG Bipin Maheshwari, DIG Rakesh Gupta and ADM Ashish Singh were also present at the airport.
