Woman in Indore hacks paramour to death for rape attempt on daughter

A woman in Indore hacked her paramour to death for attempting to molest her 20-year-old daughter at Maruti Place under Chandan Nagar police station area on Tuesday night.

A 45-year-old woman hacked her paramour to death for trying to rape her 20-year-old daughter, police said on Wednesday.

The deceased, Ravi alias Champia, was a history-sheeter and had made several attempts to molest the girl, they said.

The body has been sent for postmortem and further investigation in the case is on, Chandan Nagar police station inspector Vinod Dixit said.

On Tuesday night, Ravi came to the woman’s house in an intoxicated state and tried to molest her daughter.

Despite several warnings when Ravi continued to sexually assault the girl, the woman threw chilly powder laced water on him.

In a fit of rage, she picked up an axe and hacked Ravi to death inside the house, police said.

The woman was arrested under Indian Penal Code section 302 after here daughter informed the police about the incident around midnight.

Police said the accused, who had divorced her first husband and was living alone for the past couple of years, was involved in selling country-made illegal liquor.
