Raje to visit a temple in each of 7 divisions during Gaurav Yatra

The BJP has selected a famous temple in each of seven divisions of the state from where chief minister Vasundhara Raje will take out ‘Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra’. The chief minister will also take blessings of prominent saints revered by communities, party sources said.
The yatra will be flagged off by BJP president Amit Shah from Charbhuja temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, in Udaipur division.
In Bharatpur division, the chief minister will launch her yatra from the famous Ganesha temple. Located in Ranthambore Fort in Sawai Madhopur district, the Trinetra Ganesha temple is the oldest temple of the Elephant God in Rajasthan.
The yatra from Jodhpur division will commence from the Tanot Mata temple at a village in Jaisalmer district bordering Pakistan, the sources said.
In Bikaner division, the BJP has selected Salasar Balaji temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. In Kota, Raje will commence her yatra from the Keshoraipatan. The town is famous for temple of Keshav Rai Ji Maharaj or Lord Vishnu. The temple, which lies on bank of the Chambal River, is known for its unique architecture and sculptures.
In Jaipur division, the yatra will start from the famous Paplaj Mata temple in Lalsot. People believe that water from a kund (small tank) located in this temple has miraculous curing properties.
Raje will commence the last leg of her yatra in Ajmer division from the famous Brahma temple located in Pushkar, the sources said.
Raje will visit 165 assembly constituencies travelling about 6054 km during her statewide yatra. The yatra will culminate in Ajmer division on September 30. During the 40-day-long yatra the CM will take 18 days’ break in phases depending upon administrative work and festivals.
Raje has always made it a point to visit at least one temple during her Jan Samwad events in districts. The CM has held such meetings in more than 50 assembly constituencies across 16 districts in the state.
Not all her temple visits are always fruitful. In January this year, she had launched her campaign for the by-elections in Ajmer with a visit to Masaniya Bhairav Dham temple in Rajgarh and also took blessings of saints. The BJP lost in Ajmer and Alwar Lok Sabha seats, and Mandalgarh assembly seat.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi, who had visited temples in Gujarat in the run-up to the assembly elections, is also planning to visit famous temples in Rajasthan during his visit next month.
