Cops said that the fire services department did not lodge a complaint against factory authorities for violating fire safety norms.
According to the police there were at least 300 employees in the factory when the fire broke out. After noticing smoke emanating from the factory, the employees informed the fire services department.
State fire services department and Titagarh police both ascribed the presence of paint container around the factory to the rapid spread of the fire.
Cops said that the fire department said that no fault was found on the part of factory authorities. “There were arrangements for water and fire fighting devices in the factory,” said an officer of Titagarh police station.
