Mamata to meet governor today

Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee will meet Governor Gopalkrishna Gandhi at 3 pm on Sunday at latter's request in the efforts to break the Singur deadlock.

Senior Trinamool Congress leader Partha Chatterjee said Mamata was requested by the governor to come to Raj Bhavan for a discussion on "land-based issues in and around Singur".

Earlier, Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee met the governor and discussed the issue. But the details of the discussion was not revealed.

Talks between West Bengal governor and Opposition Trinamool Congress to end the Singur deadlock remained inconclusive on Saturday

Ruling Left Front also met today to discuss the issue.

Mamata, however, announced from the dharna spot near Tata Motors small car plant that talks would go on along with the agitation.
