Pranab-Mamata meeting at airport

Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee held a meeting at the VIP lounge of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport today.

They are understood to have discussed violence due to political clashes in West Bengal and Congress-Trinamool Congress alliance ahead of the Assembly polls in the state.

Both, however, did not speak to the waiting journalists. Mukherjee was in the city to attend a programme by Indian Statistical Institute.
