The Howrah-Puri Weekly Express and Howrah-Puri Passenger trains were cancelled while the Howrah-Puri Jagannath Express, which had began its journey this evening, was being terminated at Kharagpur, the sources said.

The Howrah-Puri Express, Howrah-Jaswantpur Express and Howrah-Chennai Mail were diverted via Tatanagar and Jharsuguda.

The Howrah-Secunderabad Faluknama Express and Howrah-Bhubaneswar Dhauli Express, which were slated to leave tomorrow morning, have been cancelled, they said.

The sources said that the railways did not have any immediate plan to run a special train to take relatives of the passengers to the accident site.

"We are ascertaining if there is any need for this. If required this can be arranged," they said.
