Naveen Jaihind , president of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Haryana said Friday talks between AAP and the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) were underway and a good outcome could be expected around Holi. Earlier this week, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal had proposed a three-way alliance with the Congress and Dushyant Chautala’s JJP in Haryana.
“It is crucial that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is voted out. We had, hence, proposed an alliance for this election. Talks with JJP are underway and a good outcome should hopefully come out by Holi,” said Jaihind. He also said the party expects equal distribution of seats and that in the possibility of the pact not working out, the party would contest all the 10 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
Jaihind said the BJP government had failed to fulfil its promises and the AAP would expose the BJP through the party’s electoral campaigns. “We will carry the BJP’s manifesto with us and show people how miserably they have failed. They had promised to implement the Swaminathan report and create one crore jobs, but nothing has happened. Only a few jobs have been created, and that too only because the elections are near,” said Jaihind.
JJP national general secretary, KC Bangar, said, “A three-member committee from our party is looking after the alliance talks. The committee will submit a report to the national executive council on the basis of which the final decision will be taken.”
