Lok Sabha Elections 2019: Youth Congress to focus on 10 Rajasthan constituencies
To ensure effective campaigning, the Congress leadership has assigned targets to party front organisations, such as the Youth Congress and NSUI.
Rajasthan Youth Congress will focus on 10 Lok Sabha seats and NSUI on a seat from each seven administrative divisions.
State YC president and minister Ashok Chandna on Monday said, “We have to fight election for the country. It is Modi’s party and no more BJP. We need to keep the democracy alive and if PM Narendra Modi retains the position, then there is doubt of elections in future.”
Addressing YC’s state executive meeting, he said the constitutional institutions are in danger and common people are under a “strange fear”. He appealed to the members to achieve the target of 10 seats.
AICC joint secretary and NSUI in-charge Ruchi Gupta also held the state executive meeting. “Around 55 lakh new voters have been added to voter list; NSUI will target them, specially the first-time voters. We are also asking the youth to fill a form where they are asked: Has the Modi government fulfilled the promises made on jobs, Rs 15 lakh in accounts, inflation, etc.”
Gupta said NSUI will make youth aware how in the last five years the Modi government favoured capitalists.
