Three men, travelling in a car abducted 16-year-old Mohit while he was being taken to school by his father, police said.

They also had a scuffle with his father, a city-based trader, and fired shots in the air to scare away the morning walkers, sources said.

The motive behind the kidnapping was yet to be ascertained, police said adding a manhunt had been launched to nab the culprits.
