The physics-II question paper of class 12 examination of the UP Board got leaked by mistake at a centre in Bahraich, said district inspector of school (DIoS) Rajendra Kumar Pandey.
The paper scheduled to be held on Saturday (February 17) was leaked by the mistake of centre In-charge at a centre in Imamganj under Shivpur block of the district on Thursday, he added.
Pandey further said instead of physics-I question paper, physics-II question paper was opened and distributed among the students at Jamia Rizvia Anwarul Mustafa High School, Imamganj.
It was when some students told invigilators about it that centre in-charge Bhupendra Kumar realised his mistake and took back the question paper from the students, Pandey said.
The DIoS said initially the centre in-charge tried to conceal his mistake but later it came to his (DIoS) knowledge through a social media message. Pandey also said an FIR had been lodged against the Kumar in connection with the matter. He also apprised the secretary of the UP Secondary Education Board of it immediately. The DIoS said a new set of question paper had been moved by the board and was likely to be received late on Friday night. ---Shariq Rais Siddiqui
