Movie review by Anupama Chopra: Ragini MMS 2 offers only cheap thrills
The problem is that the characters are such insipid, low-IQ cretins that you are hoping that the murderous chudail gets them soon. The writing is so sloppy that eventually it becomes unintentionally funny.Updated: Mar 22, 2014 12:09 IST
Film: Ragini MMS 2
Direction: Bhushan Patel
Actors: Sunny Leone, Divya Dutta, Parvin Dabas
Ragini MMS 2 is a self-proclaimed horrex, which is a film that combines horror and sex. Which means that in between doors creaking and people dying in strange and mysterious ways, we get to watch porn star Sunny Leone simulate sex, kiss a woman, reveal her bare back and blurred breasts.
The good thing is that we aren’t meant to take her acting very seriously – in the film, she plays an actress named Sunny who is also a porn star. When she says she wants to do research on her character, her director exclaims, "Porno se Rituporno kab se ban gayi".

Director Bhushan Patel has a clever enough premise to work with — a loud and lecherous director named Rocks is now making a film on the Ragini MMS incident of the first film. So a cast and crew arrive at the haunted mansion where the first film took place and, of course, realise that something is very wrong.
The problem is that the characters are such insipid, low-IQ cretins that you are hoping that the murderous chudail gets them soon. The writing is so sloppy that eventually it becomes unintentionally funny. Besides, how seriously can you take a film which begins with a disclaimer that it doesn’t promote ‘girl kissing’.

Insipid characters and sloppy writing make Ragini MMS 2 unintentionally funny. The movie offers nothing more than a few cheap thrills.
