32-year-old woman injured after slab collapses in Mumbai building; 3 others rescued
The slab of the ground floor structure collapsed at around 10am and fire brigade officials rushed to the spot.
Four persons were rescued on Tuesday, out of which one was injured, after a portion of the roof, wall and balcony extension area caved in, at Old Mhada society in Andheri (West).
The slab of the ground floor structure collapsed at around 10am and fire brigade officials rushed to the spot.
Upon clearing the debris, they rescued three persons, who were unharmed.
Thirty-two-year-old Moniyara Shaikh, who was trapped under the rubble, sustained injuries.
“We pulled out the woman in an unconscious state and rushed her to Cooper Hospital. It was a ground floor structure, so the impact of the cave in, was of less magnitude,” said an official of the fire brigade.
The Disaster Management cell of the BMC said that Shaikh’s condition is stable and the fire brigade officials are clearing the debris.
