Biker crashes into car on Mumbai flyover; 25-year-old pillion rider gets flung into air, falls 25ft, dies

A collision between two cars on the eastern express highway in Ghatkopar cost a 25-year-old riding pillion on a bike his life on Monday.

Around 1am, two cars collided on the EEH, leading to a pile-up. A biker riding pillion with his friend rammed into one of the cars from the rear.

Jolted by the impact, the pillion rider, Hashim Shaikh, got flung off the flyover, nearly 25ft down, and landed on the road below.

Shaikh succumbed to his injuries on the spot, while the rider, whose name has not been disclosed, has been admitted to a hospital.
