A police constable has been booked by officers from the Parksite police station for allegedly raping a female constable after threatening to show a selfie he had taken of them to her husband. He is currently absconding.

The constable, attached with the local arms division, had met the woman constable a few months ago and became friends with her, the complainant stated.
One day, he took a selfie with the woman constable and later, threatened he would send it to her husband if she did not perform sexual favours.
He allegedly took the constable to his home in Kanjurmarg and later, to a lodge in Shahad and raped her.
Frustrated with his demands, the woman constable approached her seniors and filed a complaint against him.
An FIR was registered against him at the Parksite police station under sections 376 (1), 377 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
“A case of rape has been registered against the accused constable and he is still absconding,” said Lakhmi Gautam, additional commissioner of police (east region).
