Taking into consideration the alleged inept handling of people’s complaint of receiving inflated electricity bills in the last two months, the Shiv Sena unit from Thane has planned to protest against Mahavitaran, state-controlled power distribution firm, on December 9.

Vijay Deshekar, Sena party worker, said, “Despite timely payment of bills, people are being forced to bear power cuts and receive inflated bills. The officials have failed to address the complaints in this regard. Hence, a rally has been planned considering the growing dissatisfaction among consumers.”

The rally will start at 10am from Nimkar Naka in Titwala and end at Mahavitaran office in Kalyan.
