Man attacked, robbed of ₹5.29L near Kandivli station

Officials said the incident took place in Kandivli (West), when Irfan Shaikh, a collection officer for Mateen Traders, was headed to the railway station after collecting money from retail outlets in Bhayander, Nalasopara, and Virar. At 7.30 pm, he took a shortcut to the railway station when he was attacked by two people with a rod. Shaikh told the police he was hit on his forehead and that he was not able to see his attackers clearly.

“They snatched his bag and fled. We have registered a case ,” said an officer from the Kandivli police station.The police are also checking CCTV footage.
