50% discount in bus fare for BMC students

The students will have to pay only 50% of the ticket amount while commuting from their homes to their exam centres in BEST buses.

Over 12, 373 students will benefit from this decision, that was taken on Tuesday at the BEST committee meeting. BEST committee members, along with Rajan Shirdokar, head of Maharashtra Navnirman Vidyarthi Sena (MNVS) had, last week, demanded that students be allowed to avail of this concession.

Nilesh Bhosle member, MNVS, said, “Exam centres of several students are far away from their homes. There are several students from BMC schools, who cannot afford to travel in BEST buses, which is why we raised the issue at the meeting.”
