Drunk driver crashes SUV into 4 cars at Worli signal

The Tardeo police arrested 39-year-old driver, who they say, was inebriated when he crashed an SUV into four cars at Lotus junction in Worli on late Friday night.

The Tardeo police arrested 39-year-old driver, who they say, was inebriated when he crashed an SUV into four cars at Lotus junction in Worli on late Friday night.

According to police, Salim Khan, a driver with an ad agency, was at a signal when he crashed into the four cars even as the signal turned red. The police added that Janavi Sawant, 42 and one Sanjay Nigam sustained minor injuries in the accident.

Ajendra Thakur, senior inspector of Tardeo police station said, “We reached the spot and found that Khan was drunk. The injured were taken to Nair hospital and were later discharged after they were provided with medication.”

The Tardeo police have sent his blood sample for analysis and registered a case against Khan.
