Maharashtra CM wishes people on New Year

Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan has wished state residents on the coming New Year and promised to implement a 21 point time-bound programme in 2010.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan has wished state residents on the coming New Year and promised to implement a 21 point time-bound programme in 2010.

Expressing gratitude to the people for trusting the Congress in the state, Chavan said, "We are committed to make the state number one in all the fields."

The main focus of the government would be on transforming the city into an international economic centre, providing low-cost housing, Development of Vidarbha and making the state load-shedding free, Chavan said.
