A major fire broke out at the third floor of the five-storey Nirlon House in suburban Worli this morning, fire brigade officials said.

"A major fire broke out at an office on the third floor of Nirlon House in Worli which is opposite Sasmira College at around 8.30 AM," a fire official said.

A fireman and a fire officer who suffered minor injuries while dousing the blaze are admitted in KEM Hospital, he said.

The fire is now contained with the help of five fire engines and four water tankers, the official said, adding the cause behind the incident is yet to be ascertained.
