Man murdered in dadar over Rs 300 loan

A squabble over borrowed money ended with the death of 20-year-old Manish Thorat at Dadar on Wednesday. Thorat was allegedly stabbed by his friend, Rajendra Kannadi, 26, when he failed to return the Rs300 he had borrowed.

A squabble over borrowed money ended with the death of 20-year-old Manish Thorat at Dadar on Wednesday. Thorat was allegedly stabbed by his friend, Rajendra Kannadi, 26, when he failed to return the Rs300 he had borrowed.

As per details put out by the police, the incident took place in the Upendra Nagar area on Senapati Bapat Marg in Dadar at around 2pm on Wednesday. The two men got into an argument when Thorat told Kannadi that was unable to replay the loan. The argument soon turned into a fight. Kannadi picked up a knife lying nearby and stabbed Thorat repeatedly.

Locals rushed Thorat to the KEM hospital where he succumbed to the injuries. Fearing arrest, Kannadi fled from the spot only to be arrested a few hours later. He has been arrested on the charge of murder.
