Despite best efforts, the tar could be cleared only by 8pm on Wednesday, leading to a huge traffic jam all day.

Officials at the Goregaon traffic outpost said around 2.30 am on Wednesday, a concrete mixer heading towards Borivli overturned after its driver, identified only as Chouhan, lost control of the vehicle and hit a divider on the flyover.
