Organised by the UK-based Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, women entrepreneurs will discuss new research on barriers faced by women in setting up and developing their businesses and hopes to offer practical solutions to these problems.
The day-long conference will focus on mobile services and web-based technology, such as e-mentoring and social media as tools for women to start and expand their businesses. Leaders in the field of business, education, healthcare and journalism will address the conference. These include Rachna Nath, executive director, Pricewaterhouse Cooper, Sheeren
Bhan, executive editor CNBC-TV18 and Sailesh Rao, managing director of Google, India.
Cherie Blair, wife of former UK prime minister Tony Blair, is the founder of the conference and a leading barrister specialising in discrimination and human rights.
Through the conference, her foundation aims to provide integrated business development support for women entrepreneurs in developing and transition countries.
