Tailor was arrested by the state Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on September 12 in connection with a fake currency case. The ATS had also arrested Tailor’s aide Haroon Rashid Abdul Hamid Naik, 33, an alleged IM and SIMI operative.

The ATS said that they wanted to probe Tailor’s alleged terror links and investigate whether the money recovered from him was intended for any terror strikes.
