The Central Railway (CR) authorities conducted a mega block from 11.05am to 4.05pm on the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus-bound slow trains.

Commuters complained that on the same stretch, where local trains were traversing from the slow to fast lines, was shared with long-distance trains arriving and departing Kurla-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus. “The frequency of trains on the day of mega block is considerably reduced and this must have caused inconvenience to commuters,” said AK Singh, PRO of Central Railway. Due to mega block, slow trains were not available at Vidhyavihar, Currey Road and Chinchpokli stations for five hours. HTC
