Suspecting an extra-marital affair, man strangles wife
A 28-year-old man, suspecting his wife of having an extra marital affair, strangled her to death early on Saturday and surrendered himself before the local police. According to the Mulund police, the incident took place at the couple’s tenement in the Ramgadh area of Mulund (West) around 12.30am.

“The accused, Dnyaneshwar Sarode had a fight with his wife Shilpa, 18, as he suspected her of having an extra marital affair,” said P Patil, assistant inspector of Mulund police station.
According to the police, around 12.30am on Saturday, Sarode had a heated argument with Shilpa.
“In a fit of rage, he strangled Shilpa to death with a large handkerchief,” said an officer. After killing her, Sarode had planned to jump in front of a train but went to Mulund police station and confessed to the murder.
