English rock band Muse will provide the official song for the London 2012 Olympics, it was revealed on July 27.
The track called Survival will be played when athletes enter the stadium and in the lead up to the medal ceremony, and it will also be the theme for all international TV coverage.
The band will debut the track on British radio station BBC Radio 1 July 27 at 7:30pm local time (6:30pm GMT): it will be available to buy on iTunes immediately afterwards.
In a statement on the band's website (
), Muse wrote "We are honoured that the Olympics have chosen out song to officially represent the London 2012 Olympic Games around the globe."
