VARANASI: Although the World Environment Day was observed at several places across the temple town on Sunday, devotees visiting the Kashi Vishwanath temple on Monday will get bael (wood apple) saplings as ‘prasad’ on Monday. The novel idea is aimed at motivating people to protect the environment. The horticulture department has provided 2,000 bael saplings to the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust.
