The authority has divided Noida into nine zones to address complaints related to waterlogging and potholes. Its team repaired 17 potholes in developing areas like sectors 97, 98, 45, 99, and 100 among others. It also repaired 106 potholes in sectors 44, 82, 135, 130, 93, 105, and others.

“We have increased the number of workers removing waste on the roads from 339 to 513. Waste lying around on the roadside also leads to waterlogging. Our health and water departments are also aggressively working to ensure a smooth flow of traffic and clean roads during monsoon. We are transporting 350 metric tonnes of waste daily to ensure that no waterlogging takes place,” said Arun Vir Singh, additional chief executive officer (ACEO), Noida authority.

“Whenever it rains, it becomes impossible to gauge the depth of a pothole on the internal roads of sectors 63 and 62 due to waterlogging. Driving is a pain due to the potholes and waste left lying along the roadside. The authority should quickly fill up these potholes to avert accidents. I have seen pedestrians face trouble everyday as they cannot walk due to deep potholes on the roads in sector 63,” said Naveen Varshney, a software engineer.
