"We will put up the suggestions made by HT in the next meeting of the Road Safety Committee that is chaired by the district magistrate of the Gautam Budh Nagar district. The committee has representatives from the Noida authority and other government departments. The decisions taken will ensure better traffic management," said Rajeev Narayan Mishra, superintendent of police (traffic).

The week-long campaign had highlighted several issues . Autorickshaws, cycle-rickshaws and e-rickshaws being the only option for last mile connectivity in the absence of an efficient public transport network, are the reasons behind the clogged intersections and lack of pedestrian facilities.

"It is evident that HT conducted a detailed study on the subject. We will work on imparting traffic education when the Noida Traffic Park is developed next year,"said Sandeep Chandra, head of Noida authority's traffic cell. The authority is soon going to start a city bus service and has proposed skywalks at two junctions.
