The Hero Cycles India Cyclothon's second edition will be held in the Capital on September 11.
The Hero Cycles India Cyclothon's second edition will be held in the Capital on September 11.
The event is the first of the three Union Cycliste Internationale-approved races in India. The other two races will be held in Chandigarh (September 25) and Pune (February 26, 2012).
International Elite race is a 104 km race mear Nehru Park in Chanakyapuri, which will see cyclists from Switzerland, Armenia, and Belgium in addition to competitors from neighbouring countries Pakistan and Sri Lanka. It will feature two Indian teams, each of eight cyclists each. Hero Cycles managing director Pankaj Munjal said the aim of the event is to promote cycling as a family fitness activity.
