According to the newly-elected secretary-general, Rajesh Bhandari, since the IABF held elections as per the constitution and according to AIBA rules, there is nothing wrong. "There must have been some miscommunication between the AIBA and the IABF. We have written to them explaining our situation. If they are convinced, it's fine, but if need be, we will hold elections again so that the sport doesn't suffer," he said.
Bhandari said the world body had pointed out some discrepancies in the selection of office-bearers, to which the IABF had replied accordingly.
"All necessary documents related to the September polls have been sent to the world body today. We are hoping for a quick response," he said.
