Indian senior judokas shine at C'wealth c'ship; win 13 Gold

Indian judokas rounded off their campaign at the Commonwealth Judo Championship in Singapore in an excellent way, with the senior team winning 18 medals, including 13 gold on Tuesday.

Indian judokas rounded off their campaign at the Commonwealth Judo Championship in Singapore in an excellent way, with the senior team winning 18 medals, including 13 gold on Tuesday.

The Indian juniors had also produced a good show at the championship yesterday, securing 10 medals, which included eight gold.

14-member senior team, comprising of seven men and seven women respectively, came out with an all-round performance to oust many higher placed opponents.

In the last championships held in January 2008 in Mauritius, senior team had won 7 Gold, 2 Silver and 5 Bronze medals.
