The top seeds appear to have been handed easy draws but turning out on the tight fairways of the DGC, the big names are better advised not to take things lightly.

After the disappointment he had to endure during the Philippine Open, Himmat Rai, in particular, will be keen to make amends. After leading for two rounds in last week's $300,000 Asian Tour event, Himmat faded away on the final two days, returning with cards of 77 and 79 to finish T28.

The five-day event, which bears the tag of being the country's only pro event to be played on a knockout format, will witness a field of 64 professionals.

As per the format, matches up to the semifinal stage will be played over 18 holes, while the final will be decided over 36 holes.

The first round will feature 32 matches while the second round on Wednesday will witness 16 matches. The pre-quarters and quarterfinals will be played on Thursday and the semifinals are slated for Friday.

The final will be played on Saturday, which will also witness the contest for the third and fourth places.
