
Titans beat Southern Stars
Down by a frame, Titans defeated Southern Stars in the inaugural Yasin Merchant Classic Invitation Snooker Doubles Tournament, organised by the Yasin Merchant Fan Club here on Thursday.
Southern Stars Vidya Pillai and Chitra Magimairaj snatched the opening frame and gave the Towering Titans pair of Geet Sethi and Aditya Mehta a scare in the Group 'B' tie.
Sethi brought back the Titans back with a break of 33 in the second frame to level at 1-1.
In the best of five frames contest, Sethi rifled another significant break of 60 in the fifth and final frame to take the match away and grabbed five points to win the game.
In the Group 'A' tie, Junior Jacks Rishabh Pandya and Hasan Badami beat the seasoned Action Jacksons duo of Sarang Shroff and Kamal Chawla when they rallied from a 1-2 deficit to win 3-2.
Junior Jacks earned six points from the win, while Jacksons picked up two points.
