"IPL is not (a game of) cricket, but more things other than cricket.... It has become more commercial than the spirit to promote the game," Kumar told reporters when his reaction was sought to the recent controversy over IPL.
"I have no no interest in IPL's controversy... IPL has become controversial," he said.
There were several other games like football, archery, kabaddi and volleyball being played in the country but they have failed to attain a cricket like position, he said.
