The gunman fired at the victim after picking up a quarrel with him inside a coach of the Jhjha-Patna Passenger train, killing him on the spot.

The deceased was yet to be identified, the sources said adding that it was reported that the gunman alighted from the train after pulling the chain near Mahesh Leta Halt station on Jamui-Kiul section of the East Central Railway.
