Daily wage workers read newspapers as a strike called by BJP and Congress party hit normal life in Agartala. Barring ‘Daily Desher Katha’, all other newspapers left their editorial columns blank today in protest against the killing. This is the second instance of a journalist being killed in the state in recent months. (PTI)

Journalists form a human chain demanding a CBI investigation into Santanu Bhowmik’s murder in Agartala on Thursday. A three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by DIG, Southern Range, Arindam Nath was formed yesterday to investigate the killing, the state government said in a statement. (PTI)
