The overall skin gets dry during winter. While it is easier to moisturise the skin of hands and lips with moisturisers, the skin of the legs and the ankles are comparatively harder. Often, the ankles get cracked and starts to bleed. How can we tackle this situation?

Apple cider vinegar - Add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to warm water and then place your feet inside the solution for around 15 minutes. This softens the skin of the ankles and also treats the cracked injuries.

Tea tree oil - Another solution to treat crackled ankles is tea tree oil. Take one-fourth cup of olive oil and mix 6-7 drops of tea tree oil in it. Massage the cracked ankles with the solution and keep for 15 minutes, and then wash it off with warm water. Tea tree oil contains several antioxidants and vitamins while proof effective in treating cracked ankles.

Turmeric - Turmeric is healthy for the skin. It is advised to mix turmeric powder with water and create a paste. This paste can be applied to the cracked ankles thrice a week.
