While we take a day off from work to take care of our physical health, we should do the same for mental health as well. Learning to take care of ourselves, attending to our emotional needs and taking a break to heal our mind should be normalised. " Ideally taking a mental health day would be a preventative measure in effort to avoiding being forced to take a significant amount of time off due to burnout or high emotional distress," wrote Psychotherapist Emily H Sanders.
